How to Make a Classic Martini
1. Chill. Put your martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes.
2. Measure. Add 2½ oz of vodka or gin and ½ oz of dry vermouth to a shaker or mixing glass with ice.
3. Stir or shake. Stir for about 30 seconds for a silky martini, or shake for an extra-cold one.
4. Garnish. Strain into the chilled glass and finish with olives or a lemon twist. Add a splash of olive brine to make it dirty.
